Sensitivity in Caring for the Obese Patient
      Caring for the obese patient requires sensitivity by health care professionals not only to the patient but also to the family members. Our personal opinions need to be set aside when providing care. Sensitivity training can be an eye-opening experience for health care workers as some do not realize they have such a bias to obesity. In several studies, physicians and nursing personnel were found to have weight bias and overall negative feelings about obese patients.
