Cardiac Disease in Pregnancy

      The pregnant patient with normal cardiac function can accommodate many significant alterations in the cardiovascular system without difficulty Pregnancy in a patient with significant cardiac disease, however, can be extremely hazardous, resulting in decompensation and even death.
