      Ectopic pregnancy rates have been increasing over the past several years. The etiologies are numerous and complex, and the diagnosis depends on the clinical history, physical findings, and laboratory studies, which have been progressively more sophisticated. Therapeutic approaches are numerous depending on the clinical circumstances. Ectopic pregnancy continues to be a significant cause of maternal mortality.
